NextETRUCK Webinar Series: insights into heavy-duty vehicle electrification

As the NextETRUCK project approaches its conclusion, we are pleased to offer a series of learning opportunities showcasing our pilot activities in North England and Barcelona, alongside calculation tools developed by our partner CENEX and an external online event in Germany. Further details on webinar agendas and confirmed speakers will be provided in the coming weeks.

All webinars are free of charge, and registration is available via the links below.

3 June 2026: CENEX Tools
15:00–16:00 CEST

In addition to its pilot demonstrations, NextETRUCK has developed digital tools for charge point and freight operators: KITE and TEIDE.

KITE, developed by Cenex UK and Cenex Nederland, is a free online tool that enables fleet managers to compare diesel and electric lorries, assess charging requirements, and estimate emissions using tailored, data-driven insights.

TEIDE supports decisions on the siting of en-route charging infrastructure by forecasting utilisation, revenue potential, nearby charging availability and traffic patterns based on user inputs. Both tools will also be presented during the Green Mobility Exchange NextETRUCK side event.

10 June 2026: Barcelona Pilot Results
11:00–12:00 CEST

After six months of daily operations in Barcelona under varying weather, traffic and seasonal conditions, extensive data has been collected from urban waste collection routes. This webinar will present key findings, demonstrating the suitability of electric medium-sized trucks for urban applications and supporting NextETRUCK partner IRIZAR in further vehicle development. The session will also address digital twin applications and data analysis.

UK Pilot Online Kick-off
Further info will follow shortly

Following the addition of our partner DAF UK to the consortium in late 2025, we are pleased to mark the official launch of their pilot this spring. The pilot, based in the UK will involve two medium-sized 18-ton trucks. During this webinar, our pilot manager and NextETRUCK experts will present an overview of the planned routes, use cases and expected outcomes.

26 June: (Inter)national Exchange on Heavy-Duty Vehicle Electrification (“Schwerlastfrühstück”, in German)
Further information will follow shortly.

Launched in 2022, this webinar series focuses on the electrification of heavy-duty commercial vehicles, offering expert-led online sessions that bring together a wide range of stakeholders and typically attract 30–50 participants per event.
