The transition towards zero-emission urban freight requires not only new vehicles and technologies, but also the knowledge and skills to put them into practice. To support this transition, NextETRUCK is launching a series of online training courses, hosted on the ERTICO Academy.
NextETRUCK is pleased to launch the first e-course, which was provided by our project coordinator TNO and is part of a wider training programme that will progressively move from the broader context of sustainable urban freight towards more technical and practical topics, including key tools developed under the NextETRUCK project to business models that boost scalability and the commercial uptake of solutions.
E-course #1: global e-truck trends
The first course “Global Trends in Truck Electrification and Fleet Energy Management Systems” offers an introduction to the key developments shaping the electrification of commercial freight. It is aimed at logistics fleet managers, local authorities, transport professionals, policymakers and other stakeholders interested in the transition to zero-emission commercial vehicle operations, looks at global trends, regulatory and economic considerations, charging infrastructure and fleet energy management.
Participants will gain a broader understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with truck electrification and the solutions that can help accelerate deployment. Entrants can select one or all modules under the NextETRUCK training framework, building their knowledge according to their interests and professional needs. Upon conclusion of each course, a certificate is issued.

Webinars, demonstrations and other dissemination initiatives complement the online training, bringing project insights and experiences to a wider community and shedding light on the practical challenges and opportunities involved in electrifying urban freight.
Together, these activities aim to support stakeholders working towards the deployment of more efficient, sustainable and zero-emission freight solutions.
