NextETRUCK is looking back on several events that supported our outreach in recent months, including the ZEFES Symposium, the ALICE Logistics Innovation Summit and the POLIS Conference, which resulted in a combined exposure to 1500 stakeholders in the last quarter of 2024.
ALICE Logistics Innovation Summit
The innovation summit, which took place from 6-7 November 2024 in Brussels, celebrated the 10th anniversary of ALICE and invited experts from across Europe to discuss current challenges of the European logistics sector. Whether it is maritime, rail, road or combined logistics – all means of transport were represented in several panel debates.
NextETRUCK joined the stage as part of the project pitches and shared an exhibition booth with the AEVETO Cluster project of ESCALATE under the umbrella of POLIS Network.
POLIS Conference
The annual conference hosted around 1000 participants in the German city of Karlsruhe for two full days and was the stage for session 3E “Big is beautiful: Electrifying buses and trucks”, which included a presentation of NextETRUCK.
All session presenters, whether they represented passenger transport or logistics solutions, concluded that significant planning and considerations from the side of cities need to take place in order to reduce air pollution and congestion in urban environments.
NextETRUCK highlighted the importance of medium-sized electric trucks as an efficient solution for freight delivery in historic city centres and peri-urban areas, thanks to a good combination of transport capacity, size and range.
Our consortium is optimistic that future cooperation will result in the stakeholder exchanges during the three above-stated events.
