DESCRIPTION:NextETRUCK plans to participate in the 20th OpenFOAM Workshop 2025\, which will take place from 30 June to 4 July in Vienna and is organised by the NextETRUCK project partner Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT). The gathering in the Austrian capital promotes exchange among experts who utilise and develop ‘OpenFOAM’\, an open-source software for fluid flow simulations. \n\n\n\nWhat solution does OpenFOAM provide?OpenFOAM is the free\, open-source CFD software\, which has an extensive range of features to solve anything from complex fluid flows involving chemical reactions\, turbulence and heat transfer\, to acoustics\, solid mechanics and electromagnetics. \n\n\n\nHow is OpenFOAM used in the NextETRUCK project?AIT is performing numerical fluid flow simulations with OpenFoam and other similar software solutions. These simulations are alternatives to traditional wind tunnel tests and help to simulate wind behaviour.
