The NextETRUCK partners are delighted to invite you to celebrate the start of our first pilot in Barcelona. We welcome you from 9-17:00 CEST on 25 September 2025 at Port Olimpic in the heart of the Catalan capital to observe our electric refuse truck. Don’t miss out and register now!

What to expect?

We would like to discuss the local decarbonisation challenges and our solutions with you. The programme includes open discussions, project updates, and workshops. NextETRUCK will bring together stakeholders from academia, cities, regions, OEMs, research groups, and many more to consider medium-sized zero-emission HGVs as a suitable solution for urban- and peri-urban areas. You will also be able to visit our truck during the lunch break in the picturesque surroundings of the Barcelona Olympic Port!

What are the core ambitions of the NextETRUCK project?

NextETRUCK seeks to:

• Build concepts tailored for regional medium freight haulage with at least a 10% increase in energy efficiency compared to existing highest-end benchmark electric vehicles.
• Develop new fleet management tools and charging infrastructure to reach full electrification in the operation of zero-emission vehicles, safeguarding energy efficiency
• Prepare concept and infrastructure demonstrators for fast charging.
• Offer new business models to increase end-user acceptance and foster the market uptake of the project solutions
• Contribute to climate goals, particularly on local air quality.
