The NextETRUCK project participated in the ITS European Congress, which took place from 22 to 24 May in Lisbon. After a forced delay due to the covid-19 pandemic, almost 3,000 participants gathered in the Portuguese capital to discuss the latest challenges, advancements and trends for smart mobility.
The project was represented at our ERTICO partner’s stand. Attendees had the opportunity to explore a dedicated panel showcasing key facts and figures of the project, highlighting its significance as one of ERTICO’s leading initiatives in clean and eco-mobility. On Wednesday, 24 May, Jean Charles Pandazis, ERTICO I&D senior manager and coordinating partner for the use cases and demonstrations, presented the project’s innovative scope and its goal to decarbonise urban and sub-urban logistics deploying zero-emission vehicle concepts for regional medium freight haulage, delivering a minimum of 10% energy efficiency improvement compared to the highest-performing existing EVs in the same size category and operating under similar conditions.
